What is the "Blue Core Engine" in automobiles?
Blue core is the concept Yamaha employs in its Engine development. It aims at achieving optimum combustion by precise control over fuel supply and ignition resulting in increased fuel economy and better performance
The primary target of every automotive manufacturer out there today is - Optimizing fuel consumption while simultaneously increasing power and reducing emissions.
Powertrain R&D efforts in an automotive company spend millions of dollars every year on this target. Over a period of time, every company manages to come up with a unique way of achieving these objectives ( Using Electronic control algorithms, Hybrid power-trains, Alternative fuels etc.) and decides to name it something cool like "Blue Core" (Yamaha), "Blue Drive" (Hyundai), "Blue Efficiency" (Mercedes Benz) and a lot more.
As you'd have realized by now, the names themselves are just attractive monikers for the collective underlying technology that goes into the automobile which can be used to attract eyeballs while marketing the product and create a distinction among competitors.
